Covid-19
- We proudly accept and respect the Removal Services provided by our team during this ongoing battle against Coronavirus (Covid-19).
- In light of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are informing you of changes to our home removal terms and conditions. As you know, the government is continuously evaluating the situation around Coronavirus in order to contain it.
- Regulations from them could potentially restrict us from providing a service to you. Such restrictions would hinder us from delivering services on the quotation or as initially planned.
- We may be obligated to delay, suspend or terminate our services at any given time. Unfortunately, liability for losses generated due to this can’t be accepted by either our provider or us. Therefore, we need to put a limitation on our responsibility in this case.
Caring For Our Staff Through Established Protocols
It is our duty to ensure the safety of our staff, and so we kindly request that you comply with the following protocols for your removal process.
- If anyone in your household is displaying symptoms of Coronavirus, please let us know!
- Highly touched areas in your abode must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before the removal workers arrive.
- Do not be offended if they do additional cleaning or sanitizing of other parts of the home.
- To promote good hygiene, please have running water and a sink available so that the personnel can regularly wash their hands.
- There should only be one individual at both properties; this person must abide by social distancing rules by maintaining two meters away from employees at all times—and wearing appropriate protective equipment (masks and gloves as a minimum). As an alternative, it’s recommended they either stay in one room or remain outside (perhaps in their car) while the team takes care of your items.
- Each room in the new property should be labelled, and a floor plan should be given to our foreman to limit customer interaction.
Enhance Your Contract Of Employment With This Stand-Alone Addition
- This clause stands alone and should be read in combination with your employment contract.
- If you are requested to work and accept the request, you confirm that you are aware of Covid-19 symptoms, protective measures, and associated risks.
- By agreeing to take on the job role, you indemnify the company and its directors, owners, managers and any other relevant persons from any disputes surrounding contracting or passing on Covid-19 or exhibiting any symptoms.
- Whilst working, pledge to abide by safety protocols for yourself, co-workers, family members, and the public.
- Refrain from taking up a position if there is suspicion of symptoms or contagion.
- Those who have recently recovered or experienced symptoms must wait until the government’s mandated time frame has been satisfied before returning to work.
- Immediately report all signs of Covid-19 or contact with infected individuals to a company representative.
